This class is for primary school children who are beginning their reading journey, or who need some extra help learning to read, write and spell. It introduces basic language and decoding rules, to help children to sound out and spell unfamiliar words. It also inspires a love of learning and literacy appreciation that’s essential to success at school.
Little Code Cracker classes focus on:
Recognising letters and their most common sound
Being able to participate in phonemic awareness activities (blending, segmenting and manipulating sounds)
Reading and spelling one syllable words
